Questions and answers
Everything people usually ask before installing the app.
What is Qoom+?
Qoom+ is a free iOS and Android app that brings together your city's events, interest-based clubs and the people you could go to those events with. The service currently operates in Bishkek.
How much does the app cost?
The app itself is free: searching for events, joining open clubs and meeting people cost nothing. Individual clubs may charge a subscription — the organiser sets the price and it's always visible before you join.
How do I find my first event?
When you sign up you pick your interests and city. The feed immediately shows upcoming events and clubs near you — open an event and tap "I'm in". Most people find their first event the day they install the app.
Can I start my own community?
Yes. Any user can create a club, publish a schedule of meetups and, if they want, switch on a paid subscription — payment handling is built into the app, so you don't need a separate payment provider.
How does meeting people on Qoom+ work?
Matching is built around events: you see people going to the same meetups and belonging to the same clubs. Shared interest first, conversation second — which is why the conversation usually starts by itself.
Which cities does Qoom+ cover?
Bishkek is the main city, with the most clubs and events. The app works across Kyrgyzstan, and new cities open up as active organisers appear in them.
Is there a fee for creating a club?
No, creating and running a club is free. A commission is taken only from paid subscriptions, which organisers switch on at their own discretion.
What if it feels awkward to attend an event alone?
That's what the First Step format is for — a small eight-person meetup for people who've just joined. After it, you go to regular events with people you already know.
